If you weigh over 200lbs and tried everything but just don't seem to lose that weight, don't worry, you've probably just been doing certain things wrong.

You've probably tried every possible weight loss program under the sun and have taken every single piece of advice you could find online, but nothing seems to help you shed those extra pounds.

Not only does it not help you, but your weight is actually, little by little, starting to increase.

There are many factors that could be affecting you, but probably the biggest two factors for your inability to lose weight is wrong planning and lack of motivation.

It all basically all starts with your emotions.

And emotions are a very powerful factor when it comes to losing weight.

Maybe you have wrong expectations or are looking at someone with a completely different body type or age than you and wondering why they are succeeding and you’re not.

You’re losing motivation and you’re not putting the work necessary to achieve your goals.

So let’s look at what you can do to change all that and start your rapid weight loss success!

1. Fix your emotions!

If you have constant levels of stress, anxiety, and maybe even depression or you’re just not fulfilling your sense of accomplishment or having enough activities in your life, you will want to get a fix of dopamine (a feeling good hormone) which will compel you to reach out to some unhealthy snacks.

Also if you’re with a group of friends who eat junk, you will have a hard time resisting that temptation.

So maybe get a group community to help you with all that.

Also if you don’t have love for yourself, you will not achieve anything you set out to achieve. So it’s best to first look deep into yourself and ask yourself: “How much do I care about my health?”

If you find that the answer to that question is: “A LOT!!”, then you’re on to an awesome start!

And don’t lose that feeling until you reach your goal!

2. Stop jumping around and start eating properly!

Stop thinking that you have to do a lot of running, cycling, jumping, lifting weights and doing all sorts of exercises to lose weight. In your stage, that’s not important AT ALL!

Don’t buy into all those stories about how you should join all those different P90X programs and that “you’ll shed 30 pounds in 30 days” type of promo.

What you need to do is focus on your diet, and diet only.

If you are 200+ lbs, you probably have lots of insulin resistance and that means that you can’t use carbohydrates as energy fuel.

So you need to do a detox by completely cutting out carbs for at least a month. After a certain period, your hormones will be balanced and the body repaired.

And remember to compensate with protein and fat for the lack of carbs. That way your body enters a state of ketosis and burns fat rapidly!

Read more about the ketogenic diet in this article!

Adding exercise in the mixture will benefit you and your health in the long run, but FOR NOW, stick to a proper diet!

Leptin is a hormone that basically keeps you slim by sending signals whether you’ve eaten enough or you have calories to burn.

But if you have insulin resistance, leptin can’t do its job. When the hormones are balanced, leptin will start telling your body to exercise naturally and you won’t have to push yourself that hard.

That’s another reason why you should stop ingesting carbs for a while.

3. Drink more water!

Not drinking enough water is terrible for your body’s health! The human body is between 60 and 70% water!

The optimal amount of water is about an ounce for every pound of your bodyweight.

So if you weigh 200 pounds, you should be drinking 200 ounces of water!

That way, you will start flushing out toxins from your body and you will get more oxygen flowing through your body and that will make your blood flow faster using up energy and making you lose fat!

4. Stop counting calories!

Yes, you read that right.

Counting calories is good for bodybuilders and fitness models, but not for you!

You first need to get your hormones balanced and repair stuff mentioned previously!

If you’re not focusing on those things, but are focusing on counting calories, you will be very frustrated because you’re being unnecessarily careful about how much calories you’re putting in your body, and less on which food contains those calories.

So focus less on HOW MUCH you eat, and more on WHAT you eat!

5. Now start jumping around, but slowly!

Maybe you wouldn’t consider it, but walking is awesome for losing weight!

Walking is a lighter activity than running/jogging and your body doesn’t use up glycogen stores, but just burns fat.

Walking also improves posture and this is important as good posture lower levels of cortisol, and cortisol is a stress hormone serving as a big factor for retaining fat in your body!

Walking increases the blood flow additionally improving your health and increasing the speed at which you lose weight.

Eventually, you can start with a light jog and up the bar from there on out as you progress further and further in your weight loss journey!

6. Heal your leaky gut

If you weigh 200lbs or more, it is more than probable you have a leaky gut.

This means that the body is not processing the foods properly, the good ones and the bad ones.

But it is possible to treat this effectively! You just need to eliminate the foods causing it like sugars, white dough and foods with lots of processed carbs and take probiotics to heal the gut.

Apple cider vinegar is also very good for this.

7. Focus on a weight loss program designed for YOU!

If you are focusing on working out the same way someone 10, 20 or 30 years younger than you is supposed to work out, you’ll soon realize you’re doing something wrong because it just isn’t working out for you.

So find a workout program that works for you and stick to it. Very soon after that change, you’ll find out that your body is changing for the better!

Also, use a program that will help you lose weight fast in the first couple weeks, because then you’ll get the wind in your back to continue for the rest of the process.

You will definitely be motivated to continue and you will feel great about yourself!
